The Gist: Sierra Mist was launching a new formula and along with that came fresh new packaging by VGS. In order to mix it up, we scouted 5 of the best visual artists from variouos backgrounds in two markets – Chi-Town and Motor City. In each city, each artist had a single day to apply their creative expression to a giant blank canvas. The next day, the following artist would build and create off the previous artist's work until we were left with a killer esquisite corpse mural. Naturally we had a huge party in both markets inviting press, NFL athletes, famous chefs, you name it. The designs ended up being repurposed for OOH ads in both markets creating a grassroots to grasstops local pride for the campaign.
