Alex Esguerra

It’s no surprise that being raised in a family of designers and fine artists, Alex is a natural-born designer with various talents and experiences in digital landscapes, interaction design, graphic, fashion, illustration, interior and product design. His most recent New York City based production, Love & Paint also placed him in the category of experiential art.

Alex grew up in New York, with the exception of being born on the Central Coast of California and moving to Germany––when he enlisted in the United States Air Force at 18-years-old as a Pararescue Jumper. Eventually he left the special forces training school to work as a command post controller in Germany during post 9/11 Enduring Freedom Operation.

Alex then entered into the Product Design department at Parsons the New School for Design and graduated amongst the top of his class receiving several awards for his senior thesis design.  He proposed a revolutionary digitally structured urban recycling system in order to better benefit the homeless community through an incentive based rewards program and stored debit card technology.

Recently, Alex celebrated the success of “Love & Paint,” the unforgettable art experience that inspired many paint-covered couples to take their sexuality to the canvas level. And then share their stories with the world. Alex recently featured his work in London during Art Frieze 2013, inviting couples from all over the United Kingdom to take part in the “Love & Paint” experience in hopes to further support the simple fact that regardless of our race, gender, culture, or sexual identity, sex is the great equalizer – the common source of birth, pleasure and union.

Alex currently is working as a freelance creative consultant in Los Angeles.  His vision is simple: Intuitively execute work that engages not only an audience’s attention, but their emotions as well. Through human-centric design and aesthetic wit, Alex strives to cut through the ubiquitous commercial clutter and leave a lasting mark.
